Here is an example of a "bad bite".   If you look closely, you can tell that the lower jaw of this sheep juts out just enough that the lower teeth will not meet the upper pad  properly.   This condition  will manifest itself  as the sheep matures, and can worsen as it ages.  Naturally, a good fit of the teeth to the pad is important to a sheep's ability to graze and maintain condition on pasture.
