Entry for April 13, 2008
Today is the day! We have 15 ewe lambs bred, and today is the first day they are due to lamb. So far, no lambs, but there are several very fat girls with big udders, so it should not be long. Yesterday it was very windy and in the 50s. I checked on them in the mid-afternoon, and all were lying in the shed, chewing their cuds. One, Darcy, was giving off a highpitched moaning sound. Very funny! She is Chuck's favorite - he calls her Dy-No-Mite! She has been very friendly since she was a tiny lamb. This year, his favorite has been dubbed "Cupcake".
Today is a nasty day - rain, drizzle, in the mid-40s. But the grass is so green it hurts your eyes! And the birds are out there, singing their brains out. 2008-04-13 15:54:21 GMT
