I got my latest BFL roving back from Stonehedge Fiber Mill on Friday.  I was shocked when I opened the box, because I was expecting something in the violet/blue range with some glints of hot pink for pizazz.  I guess fuscia is a color that goes a long way!   Its actually a pretty color, and I like it.  Here is a picture of the roving, and the yarn sample I did.

(edited 5-20) Well, now I feel REALLY STUPID!   This color thing has been nagging at me since I opened the box.  It suddenly occured to me this AM that there are 2 boxes - what's in the other?  I had assumed more of the raspberry.   No, its the BFL roving that I was expecting - purple and blue blend, with hints of fuscia.    The raspberry is the Cheviot mule roving that I sent in about 3 weeks later to be processed....... Debbie was nice enough to grab it, and send both rovings at the same time.   :^)

The mule roving is a little crisper and springier to the touch, and a little less sheen to it that the BFL roving.   Its still very nice!  I used 2 Cushing dye colors in this blend; plum and red-grape.
