We've had a few more lambs since I posted last.   Serenade has a set of absolutely gorgeous ewe lambs I think I will name Sarabande and Symphony.   This picture is of Symphony.  Its funny to hear Serenade call her lambs.  She has a very loud and mournful baaaaa - very much like a foghorn.    Her mother, Belle, and full sister, Sonata, both had the same foghorn sound.

And Arlene has a little ram lamb.   She never lets him get far enough away to have to call him.   :^)

I'm expecting Brianne to lamb next - and very soon.   Besides her, we still have Aria, Celestia, Hannalore, & Kerryn who are definitely pregnant and will lamb soon.   2 others, Aislinn and Nocturne, should be bred, but don't really show signs, so they are either very late, or missed breeding.

I did not post on Memorial Day, but we had the Rodenfels clan over.  There were 21 of us, with 2 nephew's families and Chuck's daughter missing that day.   We smoked a lamb leg, pork loin, and turkey breast and had sandwiches, salads and desserts.   The weather was very nice - cloudy but in the mid 80s, and the rain held off until about 1/2 hour after everyone left.  By that time, Chuck and I had straightened up a bit and crashed in our chairs, so the rain was a welcomed backdrop for snoozing before time for evening chores.
