Entry for June 5, 2008
Someone please turn off the spiggot! Tuesday night into Wednesday AM, we got 3" of rain. Then about 10AM, it dumped an inch in 15 minutes. The neighbor came over and bladed the driveway, dragging all the gravel back off the road. Chuck said it looked really nice.....but it started raining just after he finished, and we got another 3/4 inch. All the gravel washed back down the driveway. The culvert plugged up again.....and the creek is a raging, muddy torrent! This morning, it was back down in its banks again, leaving debris laying everywhere. Oh well, only one section of electric netting damaged, and all the livestock and buildings are safe. Aria dropped a HUGE ram lamb during all the fuss. He is so strong and was up nursing like a pro in a very short time. Since Aria had triplets last year, and was pretty big this time, I was really expecting a twin to arrive. But nope, she combined them all into one whopping, very attractive ram lamb. 2008-06-05 15:57:39 GMT
