Shiraz has 6 new babies this AM.  They are warm, but there was a big bloody spot in the nest, so I cleaned it up and put in some frest straw.  There was plenty of wool pulled, so they will be fine.  They looked like all chocolate agoutis, but I did a fast check in dim light, so maybe there is a solid chocolate in there.  These are from Fletch, a cute chocolate Satin Angora buck bred by Joan Hastings.  Fletch now lives in WV with Angie Harlow.    Kaarta has been sitting (and pooping) in her box, so I'm not very hopeful.  She was due yesterday.  Oh well, if she is not bred, I'll breed Sierra to Camaroon instead.  I did not want to have too many litters at once - space reasons.  Kaarta is so gorgeous right now that I hate to see her pull any wool.  :^)  She is a stunning red.
