I found a bobbin of finely spun, dark brown wool in my cabinet a couple days ago.  It was soft, but oh, so boring brown....... In a corner of my stash was a baggie of sparkly stuff I had bought long ago - long enough I cannot remember when or where.  Its in roving form, and a mix of gold, green, blue, pink and is meant to be added sparingly in blends to give a little sparkle to the yarn.

I decided to spin a very fine thread, and make a three ply yarn with the boring brown.   I wound the brown off the bobbin into a ball, and plyed from both ends.  The sparkly thread I left on the bobbin, and away I spun.    I think the yarn turned out pretty nice, and ever so much more interesting.   This is the first skein of 75 yards.  I think I have enough left in the ball to make another 125-150 yards.
